What sets us apart
Why families choose us
We're not a franchise or a broker. Just veteran crews who show up on time, charge what we quote, and treat your home like ours. Featured on PBS Start Up.
100% veteran workforce
Every mover on our team has served. Disciplined, background-checked, and trained to treat your belongings like their own.
All-inclusive hourly rates
One straightforward rate covers the crew, the truck, and the equipment. No nickel and diming, ever.
No "time windows" or shared trucks
We arrive when we say we will, and your items ride alone, never combined with another customer's load.
No hidden charges or fees
No surprise add-ons for stairs, long-carry fees, or fuel. Every charge is disclosed before we show up.

Yes. With the exception of our Founder and CEO, who started the company to create opportunities for veterans, every VMA employee is a U.S. military veteran.
Getting a quote is free and simple. Use the estimate tool on this site or call us at 817-989-6362. We'll gather the details of your move and provide a competitive estimate with no obligation.
Book as early as possible, especially in spring and summer. We also do our best to accommodate last-minute requests based on availability.
Yes. Most oversized and specialty items, including heavy gun safes (no stair access required). We cannot move hot tubs or pool tables that are not already crated. Tell us when booking so we come prepared.
All licensed movers must provide a minimum liability of $0.60 per pound per item at no cost. That is an industry baseline, not insurance. Higher valuation coverage is available for an added cost and usually includes a deductible. We take enormous care with every item, and if something goes wrong we look for ways to make it right.
Tips from the movers
A few things our movers wish every customer knew before moving day.
Pack an overnight bag
Keep essentials within easy reach: toiletries, a change of clothes, chargers, and your laptop or other valuables you do not want on the truck.
Use a clear first-day bin
Pack the things you will need first: a box cutter, paper towels, trash bags, utensils, basic cookware, power strips, chargers, toilet paper, and tools. A clear bin stands out from cardboard.
Label boxes on the sides
When boxes are stacked, you can't see the tops. Label the sides with contents and destination room so you can always identify them.
Wrap breakables in clothing
Use towels, t-shirts, and socks to cushion dishes and glassware. You save on bubble wrap and pack clothes and kitchenware at the same time.
Photo your electronics setup
Before unplugging a TV, console, or computer, snap a photo of the cable connections so reconnecting at the new place is faster.
Bag hardware with the furniture
When disassembling furniture, put screws and bolts in a labeled zip-lock bag and tape or rubber-band it to that piece.
Change your address early
Notify the post office, bank, employer, and subscriptions at least two weeks before moving day so important mail doesn't go missing.
Defrost the fridge 24 hours ahead
A fridge that isn't defrosted can leak during transport. Empty and unplug it the night before so it's dry when the crew arrives.
Keep documents with you
Passports, birth certificates, financial records, and medical documents should travel with you, never in the moving truck.
Do a final walkthrough
Check every room, closet, cabinet, attic, and garage before handing over the keys so nothing valuable gets left behind.
